Fenn’s priority application deadline is January 31. All applicants who submit materials by this date will receive a decision on March 10. After January 31, we strongly encourage you to inquire about any remaining spaces, and we will work with your family to complete the application process as quickly as possible.

1) Schedule a parent conversation with our team

We are eager to learn more about your son and to discuss your interest in Fenn! Please contact us to schedule a time to speak with a member of our Admissions team.

2) Visit Fenn's campus for a tour

We invite you and your son to visit Fenn's campus for a tour with our Admissions team! Tours typically last 60-75 minutes and are a great way to get a feel for Fenn's community, culture, and offerings. We also encourage you to learn more about Fenn through our videos and 360° virtual tour.

3) Complete the online application

If this is your first time contacting Fenn, please fill out an inquiry form, after which we will send you credentials to our online application portal.

If you already have a username and password, you can access the portal from the menu above by choosing How to Apply > Online Application Portal.

4) Request school materials & recommendations

Fenn requests that all applicants for grades 5-9 submit via our admissions portal:

  • Online evaluation forms completed by your son's current homeroom teacher as well as a school administrator.

  • A transcript with teacher comments from grades K-2.

  • Fall teacher comments from grade 3 submitted by February 15.

  • A personal recommendation from a trusted adult in your son's life (e.g. a coach, music teacher, camp counselor, etc.).

5) Complete and submit testing

Fenn asks all applicants to submit scores from either the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) or SSAT. Fee waivers are available for any family applying for Financial Aid.

If your son has taken a WISC (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children) or has had other educational or neuropsychological testing, it is helpful to submit this information with other application materials, as these tests can provide our Admissions team with valuable information about your child’s learning style.

6) Explore your financial options

Over 20% of Fenn families participate in our Financial Aid program, and every year we issue need-based awards that cover between 3%-100% of the cost of tuition. We would welcome the opportunity to have a conversation about how to make Fenn an affordable option for your family. Read more about our Tuition Assistance/Financial Aid program here.
